This service is best booked as 3 pack of 90-minute sessions scheduled about 1 week apart to see the most noticeable and long-lasting results. This service restructures the fascia in your face to give you the tight look of a facelift or botox without experiencing the drawbacks of such invasive and potentially toxic and damaging services. I also release fascial adhesions that are impeding the lymph system and open up the pathways to help fluid to drain from the face and neck. I want to warn that this work is generally not a service that would be considered 'relaxing.' Depending on how stuck your fascia is, how swollen the lymph is, and how out of alignment your posture is, this can be a physically, emotionally and even spiritually intense experience. The body keeps the score and people often carry stuck emotions and memories in their fascial tissue and even in the lymphatic system. It's not uncommon for people to have emotional releasees in the form of crying, anger, or even laughter. I also offer classes, either one on one or in group settings, which teach you to perform myofascial release and lymphatic drainage on yourself to help lock in and maintain the benefits of the work you receive from me.
MORE ON THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM:
The benefits of lymphatic drainage therapy include promoting detoxification, boosting immunity, improving skin health, improving overall well-being and relaxation, faster recovery from exercise and injury, and reducing pain, swelling and inflammation. While 1/3 of the body's lymph nodes are located in the face and neck, the lymphatic fluid runs through the entire body, draining excess fluid and toxins from the body and returning them to the bloodstream. While there are 6 main lymphatic bundles, all the lymph in the body is filtered through the two ports located underneath the collarbones and back into the bloodstream. Lymph nodes can become swollen for many reasons, but especially due to fascial distortions, fascial hardening, or adhesions which restrict the lymph vessels causing lymph nodes to swell and excess fluid to back up in the body. This is why I work with both the fascia and the lymphatic system when doing lymph drainage work, in order to address the primary causes of the blockages in the lymphatic system and open the pathways for drainage to occur more effectively.
